The Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi, has refuted allegations that she employed a pity tactic to obtain votes and sympathy.
She admitted on Arise TV that she didn’t have time to prepare her approach because she had just a few days to prepare for the show after getting her acceptance email.
Imisi said she didn’t expect to be chosen for the show and brought whatever clothes she had on hand.
She emphasized that she didn’t use emotional manipulation to appeal to the audience and that her genuineness was sincere.
With conviction, Imisi asserted that her journey in the Big Brother house was unscripted, and her connection with the audience was real.
“I didn’t come in with a pity strategy. I didn’t even believe I was going to be picked for the show. When I got the mail, I had only a few days to pack. I was in Ijebu at the time, and I brought all the costumes I took to that location to my sister, then we started planning,” Imisi said.
Imisi was announced winner of BBNaija season 10 on October 5, 2025 by the show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
